The government is facing a shutdown, and Republicans are the ones to blame.

Congress has until October 1st to ensure all government programs stay fully funded. While Democrats are getting bills passed that fund our schools and provide research for live-saving cures, the GOP is threatening chaos that would put millions of people at risk of financial strain just to please Trump.

Chris has always believed in bipartisanship. He has built his career on working with anyone — Democrat or Republican — if it means delivering real progress for the American people. That is the kind of leadership our communities need and deserve.

But what he will not do is cave to extremist demands that put corporate special interests ahead of everyday Americans, or policies that compromise the well-being of families, seniors, veterans, and children.

Democrats are here to govern responsibly and support the people they represent by keeping this country moving forward. But Republicans are making it clear they have no interest in working together. They would rather obstruct, disrupt, and hold our government hostage than do their jobs. That is not how democracy works, and it is not what the American people need.
