Donald Trump and his allies have made it clear: if they can’t win fair elections, they’ll rig them.
Right now, they’re redrawing Congressional maps, which will suppress votes and silence communities, mostly of color.
Most recently, Trump has turned his attention to Missouri. Alongside Missouri’s spineless, far-right governor, Trump has ordered MO Republicans to redraw the state’s congressional map to target Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, a respected Black lawmaker, and eliminate his seat in Congress.
They know their extremist agenda is deeply unpopular, so they’re trying to rewrite the rules of our democracy to cling to power. We can’t let them.
In the face of these attacks on our democracy, the “Missouri Three,” State Representatives Elizabeth Fuchs, Jeremy Dean, and Ray Reed, have stood up to the Trump Regime. In a powerful act of defiance, these three lawmakers staged a sit-in on the Missouri House floor in protest of the redistricting plan.
