Hello fellow climate activists,
Rise up for a Sun Powered Planet!
Come out to the Sun Day Solar Fest Chicago, a celebration of clean energy progress—and a chance to stand up for the solar and wind power that's making our communities healthier, quieter, and more affordable.
We will be gathering at Montrose Beach adjacent to Doggie Park/Beach! Here are the details:
What: Sun Day Solar Fest!
When: September 21st from Noon - 4 PM
Where: Montrose Beach Dog Park, 610 W. Lawrence, Chicago
You can RSVP Here: https://bit.ly/SunDaySolarFestChi
To help us celebrate, we will have a whole range of climate, social and environmental organizations, solar installers, providers of community solar and groups dedicated to creating a clean energy transition. Here is a list of participating organizations:
Citizens Utility Board, Certasun, Garfield Park Community Council, Garrett Collective (Garrett Seminary), Sierra Club Illinois, Climate Reality Project - Chicago Metro, Vote Solar, Nuclear Energy Information Service (NEIS), Illinois Clinicians For Climate Action, Illinois Environmental Council, Illinois Solar Education Association, Go Green Wilmette, Windfree solar, Energy Solutions, Climate Action Museum, Ailey Solar Electric, Edgewater Environmental Coalition, Active Transportation Alliance and One Northside
Come learn about EV’s, solar power, clean energy and all the good work these organizations are doing to create a clean energy economy.
As Bill McKibben, noted environmentalist and author recently stated: Americans have long thought of solar/wind as alternative energy, “the Whole Foods of energy—nice but pricey,” It’s time, he argued, to think of it as “the Costco of energy: cheap, on the shelf, and available in bulk, ready to go.”
RSVP Here to join us on September 21st: https://bit.ly/SunDaySolarFestChi
In solidarity,
Team 350 Chicago
