You’ve already heard from my Candidate Recruitment Director, Katie, about how important it is to hit our fundraising goal before our Sept. 10 Ready to Run rally, but now I want you to hear it directly from me.

Tomorrow’s rally is our biggest chance yet to end uncontested races and stop MAGA extremists from winning local power by default. We’ve invited more than 20,000 Democrats to step up and run for office. But, to make it a success, we must hit our goal tonight.

Can I count on you to chip in $5 or whatever you can right now to help us cross the finish line?

John, for too long, thousands of local races have gone completely uncontested. MAGA extremists sweep into school boards, city councils, and county commissions without even having to compete, leaving voters with no choices and communities decimated by extremist policies.

But when Democrats step up to run, communities win. Contest Every Race has already helped recruit more than 11,000 candidates since 2018, proving that a grassroots movement can turn the tide.

If we want to end uncontested races and make sure every voter has a real choice, we need every investment we can get.
