The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is conducting a rulemaking process to create a continuous year-round bass season.

 

The proposed changes would create a new catch-and-release season for largemouth and smallmouth bass covering all portions of the annual calendar not already covered by either a harvest season or an existing catch-and-release season.

Please see the attached documents for a rulemaking notice and the official rule language.  Please note in the proposed rules file that information with a strikethrough (example) is language that will be deleted and underlined language (_example_) is new language that will be added.  Questions and comments can be directed to me at the email address, phone number, or written address below.
