Dear John,
Yesterday, the President’s Religious Liberty Commission (RLC) met for the second time, and the President himself addressed the Commission and the nation.
As a Commission member, I was struck by many things in his remarks. But one truth in particular stood out.
“When faith gets weaker, our nation gets weaker.”
For years, the courts have wittled away our First Amendment rights, particularly our right to live out our faith. The results have been devastating to people of faith and our nation.
Thankfully, we are reclaiming what’s been taken away. Big wins at the Supreme Court are starting to return the freedom of religion back to what the Founding Fathers intended.
That’s only because of God’s favor and people like you.
But there’s still more to do and that’s why the RLC is so important.
Watch my comments after yesterday’s RLC to get a better understanding of our mission on the Commission and what we are working to accomplish.

Monday was a big day for the future of faith in America.
The Commission and the nation got to meet several First Liberty clients and see firsthand that religious discrimination is real and occurring all across America.
From the Encinas family whose fifth-grade son was forced to indoctrinate his kindergarten buddy on gender ideology to Hannah Allen, who was told she could not pray in the school lunchroom, the RLC members learned how students are getting bullied and punished for expressing their faith.
As the RLC works to develop recommendations for fully restoring religious freedom, I would like to ask you to do two things:
- Pray for our nation, the President and the Commission as we work to secure the future of religious freedom for our children and grandchildren.
- Continue to support First Liberty, our clients and our expert legal team as they fight to protect your right to live out your faith.
Without your help and support, none of this is possible. The legal fights for our clients. The Supreme Court wins that have expanded religious freedom. The work we’re doing on the Religious Liberty Commission.
None of it.
So thank you for all you do – for us, your community and your nation.
Grateful for you,
Kelly
