 Kansans are exhausted right now. Donald Trump’s cost-of-living crisis is wreaking havoc on families’ budgets. Our schools and hospitals are receiving less support than ever before. At the same time, billionaires and big corporations have never held more power and influence over our day-to-day lives. These aren’t partisan issues. Republican or Democrat, we all need to put food on the table. We all need to send our kids to the doctor when they’re sick. We all deserve an economy that works for us, not just the top one percent. But what is the extreme Kansas Legislature focused on? Rigging the maps to kick me out of office. These Republican politicians don’t understand a fundamental part of public service: They don’t work for Donald Trump or the DC party bosses — they work for you.
Look, I’ve won four consecutive elections here in KS-03, all of them competitive. So if Republican politicians want to flip this district red, they should focus on the issues that Kansans care about most: Affordability, strong public schools, tackling corruption, and creating jobs. But they won’t. Instead, they want to shove price hikes and DC politics down our throats, no matter how many times Kansans vote it down. It’s ridiculous. KS-03 has rejected the National GOP’s agenda again and again. But instead of taking the hint, these extreme politicians want even more control over our state’s future.
