Churches Are UNDER ATTACK
==========
Right now there is a **MAJOR escalation** of attacks upon Churches in the United States of America.
Since 2018 there has been an **increase of over 700%** according to the **Family Research Council**.
In 2018 there were 50 reported attacks on churches ( **less than 1 per week** ).
In 2024 there were 415 reported attacks on churches ( **more than 1 per day** ).
I want to **offer two thoughts**.
**First to the Pastors** reading this.
Take measures at your church to prevent these attacks. At Sheridan.Church ( [link removed] ), I am beyond grateful for our security team that watches over the House every service to make sure our people are _SAFE_. But we also partner with local law enforcement every service as well. The police car stationed at the front of our church, I believe, will prevent 99% of bad actors from even attempting something they should not. **We must be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves.**
**Second to Believers** reading this.
Don't you dare stop attending church! God has not given us a spirit of fear but instead one of power, love and a sound mind ( **2 Tim 1:7** ). We are told in **Hebrews 10** that as the Day of the Lord gets near that many believers will stop attending church but we are command not to stop gathering together because we need one another. **Do not let the enemy intimidate you from going to the House of the Lord**.
Although the stats are _disheartening_, history proves that whenever the Church is attacked, she always _flourishes_.
These attacks will backfire on the enemy and the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in America will prevail and be even more effective because of them.
**Pray for the Body of Christ and the local churches throughout America.**
