Hi friend,
You may have seen that Texas redrew their congressional maps, with states
like Florida, Missouri, and my home state of Indiana attempting to follow
suit, at the behest of Donald Trump.
[ [link removed] ]I’m going to discuss this more in a moment, but first, I’m hoping
you'll consider chipping in to support the work we’re doing at Win the Era
to have meaningful conversation on these issues and uplift candidates
paving the way for something better.

When politicians can’t win on their ideas, they try to change the rules.
Right now, we’re watching that play out in states across the country,
where Republican lawmakers are once again using redistricting as a weapon
by drawing maps designed to silence communities and protect their own
power.
This is about more than lines on a map. It’s about whether voters are
choosing their leaders, or politicians are choosing their voters. It’s
about whether young people, communities of color, and working families –
who already face so many barriers – will have a fair shot at being heard
and represented.
But here’s the thing: If they actually believed their ideas had support
from the American people, they wouldn’t be doing this.
The fact that Republicans feel the need to re-gerrymander districts tells
us they know their agenda is deeply unpopular. It shows that they have a
lot, politically, to be afraid of. And that means that when we organize,
we show up, and build real grassroots power – we still have the most
important advantage.
I will be doing my part by speaking out against these efforts, as well as
supporting candidates in these tough districts across the country. Donald
Trump and his Republicans are trying to make it harder to have free and
fair elections, and we can’t sit on the sidelines and watch it happen.

supporting our work to uplift candidates who believe in a better kind of
politics. I am so grateful for whatever you can contribute to that effort.
