John, it’s Congresswoman Julie Johnson. This is a longer email than usual, but honestly, we have a lot to talk about.

Do you see the problem with this picture?

No, that’s not a cartoon detective’s tobacco pipe. Or a turkey drumstick. Or an ice cream cone that’s been dropped on the sidewalk on a hot summer day. 

That’s my new Congressional district because Donald Trump is rigging our maps.

Texas’ 32nd district, which used to be nice and compact around Dallas, was stretched out over 200 miles – nearly to the Louisiana-Texas line!

The kicker? Its partisan makeup shifted from Harris +24 all the way to Trump +18.

If this isn’t illegal partisan gerrymandering, I’m not sure what is.

Look, John: This is all going according to plan for Trump. He ordered Texas Republicans to redraw every Congressional district to circumvent our free and fair elections next fall and guarantee Republican control of Congress for the rest of his presidency.

Abbott has already been taken to court over these sham maps – but if they stand, Republicans are predicted to win up to 30 of Texas’ 38 House seats.

So John, we can’t sit back and wait for next fall – we have to do the groundwork right now to defy Trump’s rigged maps and crush his MAGA-majority, fair and square. Will you pitch in $10 or more to help me reach my $10,000 fundraising goal tonight? >>
