Discount stores are stockpiling inventory just to soften the blow. Across the country, people are being forced to make impossible choices about what they can afford.
Trump promised his economic policies would help working families. But the reality is, his tariffs are a hidden tax on the middle class.
I grew up in a working-class family right here in Lowell. My dad worked long, hard hours as a union ironworker and my mom juggled part-time jobs while caring for my three sisters and I. I ran for Congress to stand up for families like ours.
I’m working every day in Washington to lower costs, strengthen supply chains, and deliver real economic security.
