As the California governor’s race kicks into gear, more and more polls
continue to come out. It can be a lot to keep up with, so here are the
fast facts you need to know:

* Katie Porter is the clear Democratic frontrunner. Her lead is more
than double that of the next closest Democrat.
* The two closest candidates to Katie are both Republicans. We can’t
ignore the GOP’s efforts to flip California red.
* Katie is the only Democrat to significantly gain supporters in recent
polls. She has the momentum to win this race, but only if we work hard
to keep it up.

With about 9 months to go until the primary election, we can’t take
anything for granted. More candidates could enter this race and start
spending big to defeat Katie. That’s why we need to work hard to win. Not
in 9 months, but right now.
