At the end of the month, the Senate will face yet another deadline to pass a government spending bill

Let’s get the facts straight: Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House. 

It is Republicans who voted to strip health care from millions of Americans, shower billionaires with tax cuts, and balloon our national debt by trillions.

It is Republicans who voted to increase grocery and utility bills for hard-working families from coast to coast.

It is Republicans who voted to put hundreds of rural hospitals and nursing homes on the brink of closure.

John, I’m not going to capitulate to Republicans because they have failed to govern.

This is a time to draw a line, stand up, and fight.

I am going to stand firm and fight against any kind of Republican budget that would hurt Americans or make life tougher for New Jersey families. I am not going to vote to hurt people more than they’re hurting already.

This is a fight worth fighting for. The stakes are too high to back down.
