As Trump's authoritarianism reaches new heights, Democratic leaders are doubling down on a failed strategy of bipartisanship – and leaving our movement behind.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries are flatly REFUSING to endorse progressive candidates like Zoran Mamdani. Now, Schumer just sent a formal letter to his colleagues in the Senate pleading with them to work in a "bipartisan way," appearing to have learnt nothing from eight months of Congress doing whatever Trump asks.
These are not isolated incidents. Time after time, the Democratic Establishment has turned its back on progressive candidates, and failed to take the fight to Trump in Congress, ignoring grassroots energy and voters hungry for real change.
