Mikie Sherrill for Governor

It’s no secret that right now, public transit systems in New Jersey are causing too many headaches. Unreliable service and unaffordable ticket prices means that these systems are becoming inaccessible for too many families. I’m going to be the governor to change that.

I’m going to tell you my plan to fix transit systems in our state, but if you’re already with me, I’d really appreciate it if you'd chip in whatever you can to help my team spread the word about our vision for New Jersey →

I’m running on a record of making progress for New Jersey. When I was in Congress, I secured a full funding grant agreement to build the Gateway Tunnel, even though I was told it couldn’t be done. While other politicians weren’t able to make real progress, I delivered our state funding for the nation’s most important infrastructure project.

As governor, I’ll continue to deliver progress. Here are just some of the things I have planned to improve public transit in our state:

  • Monetize underused NJ Transit assets and develop them into residential or commercial properties
  • Increase advertising on trains and at our stations to increase NJ Transit’s revenue streams
  • Invest in light rail expansion and bus rapid transit to improve commute times and increase direct service
  • Secure funding from the federal government — and if they hold back our funds, we’ll see them in court

From Hoboken to Camden to Atlantic City, I believe that New Jerseyans should have access to safe, reliable, and affordable public transportation.

And if you agree, will you chip in to spread our message to undecided voters across the state?
