We have an exciting update, team: Our organization recently opened up our endorsement applications for 2026, and the enthusiasm we have coming our way is nothing short of incredible. In the 2024 election cycle, we endorsed nine winning U.S. House & Senate candidates in highly competitive races, and VRF’s Arizona arm endorsed 19 winning State Legislative and County candidates. We also had a hand in selecting and funding winning U.S. Senate races across the country, with notable victories in Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Among these successes, we wanted to spotlight two key federal candidates who emerged as ardent defenders of democracy and voting rights: VRF endorsed and funded Gabriel “Gabe” Vasquez in his re-election campaign in the New Mexico 2nd Congressional District. Securing a narrow victory with 52% of the electorate, this hotly contested congressional seat ran at even or unfavorable polling for Rep. Vasquez before the election, demonstrating the critical role of VRF's endorsements. Representing a predominantly Hispanic and immigrant community disproportionately impacted by restrictive voting policies, Rep. Vasquez centered his campaign on safeguarding voter access and advocating for disenfranchised populations. VRF proudly endorsed Dave Min, who won California’s 47th Congressional District, a seat previously held by prior VRF-endorsee Katie Porter. In one of the most competitive races in the country, Min’s campaign emphasized democracy and voter rights, resonating with voters in a district evenly split between registered Democrats and Republicans. Min’s victory, achieved with 51% of the vote, underscores the importance of pro-democracy messaging in battleground districts. For this upcoming election cycle, we’re already making moves to expand our work to additional key states and further develop our team’s operations — including significantly increasing our fundraising efforts, hosting public events in battleground states, hiring more staff to strengthen our organization’s infrastructure, and so much more. These initiatives will deepen the Voting Rights Fund’s advocacy for voting rights and bolster its capacity to support candidates who are ready to fight for our voting rights on day one. You’re the one making this success possible. Grassroots supporters like you fuel everything we do, and we couldn’t be more proud of it. Will you please stand with us by giving $10 or any amount toward our year-round work to elect pro-democracy changemakers up and down the ballot? Our endorsement application for the 2026 election cycle is open. If you’re running for office or know of a great public servant who we should consider for endorsement, apply here: Thanks for believing in our mission. None of this would’ve been possible without your support. — Voting Rights Fund Paid for by Voting Rights Fund and not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee |
