Friends,
Last week, I continued working in Washington and Texas on the issues that matter most to our district and our nation. My focus stayed on strengthening security, advancing policies that promote economic growth, and making sure that government operates more efficiently for the people it serves.
I also spent time meeting with community members and industry leaders to hear directly about the challenges and opportunities they face. These conversations help guide my efforts and ensure that Texans' priorities are represented at the national level.
As always, I am grateful for the ongoing engagement and feedback from those I serve, and I remain dedicated to working every day to deliver results.
Sincerely,

"Mornings with Maria"
Last week, I joined Mornings with Maria to discuss the ongoing funding fight in Congress, public safety efforts in Chicago, the strong momentum Republicans are seeing in Texas, and President Trump’s decisive strike against cartel narco-terrorists — a strong reminder that when America projects strength, our enemies take notice. Cartels have poisoned our communities for too long, fueling violence and addiction across the country. Taking the fight directly to these narco-terrorists sends a clear message: we will not sit back while criminal organizations profit off American lives. I’ll continue working in Congress to ensure we have the tools, resources, and leadership needed to dismantle these cartels and keep our nation safe. |

Texas Masonry Council |
Last week, I spoke with members of the Texas Masonry Council at their industry town hall in Spring. We discussed workforce challenges in construction, new apprenticeship and training programs, and how tax relief and permitting reform can help small contractors grow. I also highlighted the importance of energy policy and trade protections in keeping Texas builders competitive.

Linde Oil and Gas Town Hall
Recently, I hosted a town hall at Linde Oil & Gas to discuss key issues with residents. We covered how the Energy & Commerce Committee is addressing artificial intelligence by implementing guardrails that promote innovation while ensuring human accountability. I emphasized the need for meaningful permitting reforms and reliable energy sources, such as natural gas, to meet the increasing demand from AI and data centers, thereby preventing unnecessary red tape. We also talked about my work on the Intelligence Committee, where I’ve warned about the national security risks posed by cartels and their partnerships with China on fentanyl. Finally, I provided an update on government funding and stressed the importance of passing a responsible budget.

Del Webb Community Town Hall |
Last week, I held another town hall — this time at the Del Webb Community Center. It was great to connect directly with residents, answer questions, and hear about the issues that matter most to our community. I’m grateful to everyone who came out and participated. |
