This shouldn’t be a controversial statement:

Unelected, unappointed right-wing bloggers should not be calling the shots on issues of national security – especially anyone who has a history of 9/11 denialism, Islamophobia, and associations with white nationalism.

But that’s exactly what’s happening in the Trump administration.

Right-wing conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer went on an online rampage against Senator Warner – and called on the Trump administration to cancel Warner’s routine oversight meeting with members of the national intelligence community. And so they did.

And since then, we’ve been absolutely pummeled with lies and attacks from Laura Loomer – including calling to remove Senator Warner from the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Look, Senator Warner is not going to back down from this fight. He’s not going to let online trolls like Laura Loomer prevent him from serving his constituents and providing oversight of our national intelligence operations.

But he’s going to need our help to keep up the fight. Our race could be a top Republican target next year. And the more Senator Warner speaks out against Donald Trump and his dangerous administration, the more we need to be prepared for an expensive reelection campaign.
