Conservatives

Dear John,

Most people may not think the post office plays a vital role in the local community.

But that’s far from the truth.

Small businesses rely on the post office to send their goods. Our pensioners use them to collect their pension.

And they provide communities with essential services, like getting overseas currency for that well-deserved getaway you’ve been planning for years.

All that could be gone very soon.

Labour are currently consulting on whether to reduce the number of Post Office branches from 11,500. Your local branch could be closed.

Pubs are closing their shutters under the weight of Labour’s taxes. Our high streets are nearly empty.

Soon our town centres and village hubs will be desolate, with none of the essential services we rely on.

The review feeds back in October. Help us stand up to Starmer by signing our petition to protect our post offices and local communities.

I’ve been fighting hard for our post offices for all of my career.

If you join me in this fight we can make a real difference.

Together, we’ve already forced Keir Starmer to U-turn on his plans to cut Winter Fuel Payments for millions of pensioners.

And we’re working with local businesses to stop Labour’s attacks on local businesses and pubs.

Now together we can force Labour to back down on their plans to close post offices, which are the beating hearts of communities across the country.

But we can only make a difference if you join us. Before it’s too late.

The review ends next month. We’re running out of time.

So John, don’t wait. Sign and share the petition today, and let’s save our local Post Office before it’s too late.

Yours sincerely,

Dame Harriett Baldwin MP

Member of Parliament for West Worcestershire
Former Chair of the Treasury Select Committee
