Democrats think teachers know your kids better than you do—and now they want boys in girls’ sports to prove it.

Parental Rights vs. Progressive Power Grabs
|
|
Brian Heywood and Let’s Go Washington just dropped two new initiatives to clean up the mess Democrats made in Olympia. The first restores parental rights that Dems gutted with HB 1296, a bill that basically told parents to sit down and shut up while schools keep secrets about their kids. To make matters worse, they slipped in legal roadblocks so families have to jump through hoops before holding schools accountable—and even handed Chris Reykdal power to pull funding if districts don’t obey his political marching orders.
The second initiative is common sense: if sports are labeled “girls,” then only biological girls get to play. But Democrats would rather push their woke ideology, even at the expense of fairness for female athletes.
Of course, the state Democratic Party brushed off these initiatives as a “waste of time and money.” Translation: they’re terrified voters might actually get a say. Meanwhile, Republicans like Rep. Travis Couture aren’t mincing words—warning that Democrats are turning classrooms into indoctrination labs while kids fall behind in basics like math and reading.
Heywood’s message is simple: giving up isn’t an option. Washington families deserve better than a government that hides from parents and destroys girls’ sports in the name of politics. Read more at Center Square.

From Meth Dealer to Media Martyr
|
|
Democrats and their media cheerleaders didn’t even wait for the facts before spinning a wild tale about ICE agents ripping a “firefighter” away from the frontlines of a wildfire. The truth? As KTTH’s Jason Rantz points out, Jose Bertin Cruz-Estrada wasn’t a firefighter. He wasn’t even a victim. He was an illegal immigrant with a meth trafficking conviction, a fake citizenship claim, and a decade-old deportation order—caught working for a shady contractor under federal investigation.
But that didn’t stop The Guardian, Cascade PBS, KGW, and KING 5 from pushing melodramatic sob stories, ignoring ICE’s confirmation that the arrest didn’t disrupt firefighting and was part of a bigger fraud probe. Out of 44 workers, 42 were released—yet Democrats like Rep. Emily Randall still staged photo ops and wailed about “attacks on immigrants.”
Here’s the pattern: break immigration laws, endanger communities, deal meth—and Democrats will still trip over themselves to paint you as a saint if it means dunking on ICE. Forget the victims of meth, forget the rule of law. To the left, the real crime is daring to enforce it. Read more at Seattle Red.

The Washington State Department of Ecology just rushed out a 91-page “official rebuke” of the Trump Administration’s climate science, with Director Casey Sixkiller firing off lines about how federal reports “won’t stop wildfires” or “help farmers.” But here’s the irony: neither will Washington’s own climate policy.
While the agency finds plenty of time and resources to virtue-signal against Trump, it still hasn’t met its legal obligation to release statewide CO2 emissions data—last updated nearly four years ago. Ecology now claims it won’t have new numbers until 2026. That’s not just bureaucratic incompetence; it’s a violation of the law, something the Washington Policy Center had to sue them over. Even then, staff admitted they were breaking the law but shrugged that they didn’t have the “resources” to comply.
Yet, somehow, they had the resources to whip up a political hit piece. Meanwhile, incomplete state data and EPA reports show Washington’s emissions actually went up in 2022 and 2023—proof that Ferguson and friends’ climate agenda is nothing more than expensive theater.
Sixkiller and his team owe Washingtonians an explanation: if they can find the manpower to bash Trump, why can’t they do their actual job and release the legally required emissions data? Until then, their so-called “climate leadership” looks a lot like smoke and mirrors—literally. Read more at the Washington Policy Center.

Democrats’ Great Drug Dealer Do-Over
|
|
Whatcom County is now mailing out “get out of jail free” letters to people with old drug convictions, letting them know their records will be wiped clean—no action required. Thanks to the Washington Supreme Court’s State v. Blake ruling, some 334,000 drug convictions statewide are being tossed out, vanishing from background checks as if they never happened. And for added insult, offenders can even apply to get refunds on their fines and fees.
Democrats and their allies call this “fairness” and “access to justice.” But let’s be honest—this isn’t about justice, it’s about rewriting history and pretending drug use never had consequences. Instead of fixing their broken policies that fueled addiction and crime, they’re just erasing the records so the statistics look cleaner.
In the upside-down world of Democrat governance, victims get ignored while drug offenders get gift baskets—and a government-paid lawyer to boot. Read more at the Bellingham Herald.
