Don't miss out - register by the September 15 deadline!
This is your reminder to register by the September 15 deadline for the 2025 Michigan Environmental Justice Conference, hosted by the Office of the Environmental Justice Public Advocate in the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy. This one-day conference will take place on September 29 at the Marriott Detroit in the Renaissance Center.
Under the theme "Driving Environmental Justice Forward: Action, Equity, and Impact," this event brings together diverse voices — front-line communities, advocacy groups, policymakers, public health experts, researchers, and more — to explore meaningful actions, share community-driven solutions, and elevate equitable outcomes.
Conference highlights
-
Environmental Justice Impact Grantee Site Tours: Limited-seat tours in Detroit and southeast Michigan offer a closer look at local environmental investments in action.
-
Resource & Networking Fair: Engage with advocates and organizations directly if you're not joining a tour.
-
Dynamic Sessions: From lightning talks to panels and speaker sessions, the agenda fosters deep, collaborative dialogue and provides a space for important conversations related to local and state-level resilience amid challenges to environmental, justice, and climate protections.
-
Networking Reception: Close the day by connecting with speakers, community leaders, and peers at our networking reception — a chance to continue conversations, exchange ideas, build lasting partnerships, and stay out of Detroit rush hour traffic! Light refreshments will be provided.
