There is something very dangerous about the extreme and violent rhetoric that has taken over politics. Just look at this weekend’s post from President Trump.

This type of rhetoric is not only dangerous, it's un-American. The idea that our military should be used against American cities is wrong. It’s an insult to the Constitution and the many service members who gave their all for their country. And I say this as someone who has worn the uniform. 

We have a lot of work ahead. We need to beat back this dangerous trend and we need to create an America where everyone gets a fair shot. 

I am not going to lie – things are going to get harder before they get easier. But I am confident we can do better.

I will never stop fighting for a better future. I am in this race because America gave me and my family a chance to succeed—and I’ll be damned if we let MAGA take all that away.

I have the privilege of serving as an officer in our military. And under President Biden, as Special Counsel in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (not War).

I am a progressive running in the most competitive congressional district. This is a must-hold for Democrats.
