John, it was truly a pleasure meeting with our neighbors and friends across IA-03. At yesterday’s Town Hall, we discussed the real challenges working families face, and I spoke with folks who were pissed off that Zach Nunn changed his community forum this past Friday to a private meeting at the last minute to avoid his constituents.

I heard from the mother of a disabled adult who shared how Medicaid is already falling short, and how the cuts will affect her family and their access to care.

I heard from Iowans worried about the safety of the water they drink, and about what will happen with the disastrous SNAP cuts in the Big, Ugly Bill.

I heard concerns about the rising cost of healthcare, the worries of parents about attacks on our public education, and so much more.

John, if I learned anything yesterday, it’s this: Politics-as-usual is failing Iowans, and we need a leader who shows up, listens to their community, and actually works to solve their problems — not vote time and again to cause even more harm.

That’s why I’m running for Congress, John. I’ll work to cut costs for hardworking families, fight to restore access to Medicaid and SNAP, and do everything in my power to give working-class Iowans a real voice in Washington, D.C.
