Hi John,
We're in the most dangerous era for reproductive rights in modern history. At NIRH, we know that reactionary short-term responses won’t be enough to meet these challenges head-on. What our country is facing requires bold investment in state and local power, deeper alignment across our movement, and building a future where reproductive freedom is a reality for all.
That is why NIRH, the national hub for reproductive freedom that has spent 20+ years equipping state and local advocates and policymakers with the tools to lead, is excited to announce that in 2025 and 2026 we will be working with 11 partners to advance proactive policies in six states — spanning red, blue, and purple terrain.
We’re launching three new strategic Policy Labs that will build power, share resources, and explore policy solutions in the following areas:
Abortion Coverage Policy Lab - California Abortion Alliance, California
- Our Justice, Minnesota
-
Whole Woman's Health Alliance, Virginia
Birth Justice Policy Lab -
Alabama Birth Center, Alabama
- Chocolate Milk Mommies, Alabama
- Margins: Women Helping Black Women, Alabama
-
Yellowhammer Fund, Alabama
Repro & Data Privacy Policy Lab - Amplify GA, Georgia
- Sex Workers Outreach Project Los Angeles (SWOPLA), California
- New America's Open Technology Institute
- Surveillance Technology Oversight Project (S.T.O.P.), New York

We chose these partners because their projects represent movement-building strategies in action. Their missions are deeply rooted in communities most impacted by escalating threats, bringing both lived experience and values-aligned policy expertise to their work. NIRH’s wrap-around support will bring capacity and sustainability to this work through: - Tailored policy and campaign guidance
- Legislative strategy
- Legal research
- Implementation planning
-
Budget advocacy
Our partnerships are the foundation of our strategy, and we’re committed to prioritizing work driven by communities facing disproportionate barriers to accessible reproductive health care and who are most impacted by systemic racism. This includes Black and Brown people, immigrants, the LGBTQ+ community, and people with low incomes. Across our partnerships, we’re fostering alignment with other movements—racial justice, economic justice, LGBTQ+ rights, and democracy protection—recognizing that the same forces attacking reproductive autonomy are also threatening our most fundamental freedoms.
NIRH is proud to work hand-in-hand with these dedicated organizations and our broader network of allies to secure reproductive freedom for everyone, with dignity and autonomy, no matter where they live. Will you join us? In solidarity,
|
