2025 National Lives Experience Leadership Conference

Location: Cincinnati, OH (View map) Nov 17 – 19, 2025

Dear Community,

We are thrilled to announce the 2025 National Lived Experience Leadership Conference! Last year, we had the privilege of hosting the conference on the West Coast, and this year, we are excited to bring it to Cincinnati, Ohio, from November 17th to 19th, 2025. This groundbreaking gathering will center around the knowledge, resilience, and leadership of individuals with lived experience across diverse systems and movements.

This year’s theme, “Organize, Advocate, Empower,” is a rallying call to action. It reflects the heart of our collective work: building power, challenging systems, and creating transformative change led by those who’ve lived it.

About the conference:

The 2025 National Lived Experience Leadership Conference will bring together lived experience leaders from various fields, including housing and homelessness, disability rights, youth advocacy, and criminal justice reform. These leaders will come together to build solidarity, share tools, and establish a national agenda for positive change.

You can expect:

- Keynote Speakers who are leading local, state, and national movements

- Interactive Workshops that equip participants with tangible skills for organizing, policy advocacy, and peer-led leadership.

- Panel Discussions on justice, equity, co-production, and system accountability.

- Healing & Creative Spaces for reflection, storytelling, and rest

- Community-Building Events that connect us across experiences and geographies

Join Us for the Next Webinar in Our 10-Point Plan Series

The second webinar in our 10-Point Plan series will focus on one of the most urgent gaps in the homelessness response system: prevention. Together, we’ll explore innovative project ideas, the latest research, and proven best practices to stop homelessness before it starts.

Special guests include Jeff Olivet, long-time advocate and former director of the US Interagency Council on Homelessness; as well as Brendan Perry, Assistant Director of Replication & Scale at the Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO) at the University of Notre Dame. Mr Perry works to turn evidence into action, translating LEO's rigorous research results into social impact by replicating and scaling evidence-based programs. Brendan started his LEO career as a Research Associate, serving on the research team for Destination: Home's original RCT of the Homelessness Prevention System in Santa Clara County.
