I know you probably receive a lot of fundraising emails these days. Believe me, John, I wish we didn't have to send so many. 

But we have an important end-of-quarter fundraising deadline coming up, and you deserve to know why this one is different.

At the end of the month, we're going to close the books on our fundraising for the quarter. 

Shortly after that, our fundraising numbers will be available for anyone to see. You can bet that Donald Trump, Andy Biggs, Karrin Taylor Robson, and far-right super PACs will be scouring our reports for any signs of weakness. 

And to be honest, we fell short of our fundraising goal last month.

I’m not going to tell you the sky is falling. It’s not. But unlike my Trump-endorsed opponents, I don’t have a multi-billion dollar fortune or a network of right-wing megadonors on speed dial.
