Dear John:

It was great having EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin in Western Minnesota this weekend. And I am so thankful to Christensen Farms for hosting!

Following our discussion, Mr. Zeldin announced they would NOT be implementing a proposed rule that would have hurt family, small, and medium ag producers across greater Minnesota. I am so excited to be working with an Administration that is willing to listen to farmers and make policy decisions based on the needs of rural communities and the families that live here.

Breakfast on the Farm

On Monday, I joined the Pope County Farm Bureau's Breakfast on the Farm event. I am proud to say that, thanks to H.R. 1, farmers in greater Minnesota are going to benefit from enhanced risk management tools, stronger safety net programs, and critical, commonsense tax relief.

Thank you to Malecha Enterprises for hosting this year’s event! It was great to tour the third-generation farm, and see all the activities they had for the whole family.

Medicare Advantage Roundtable

This week, I met with constituents to discuss affordable healthcare options for seniors. As you may know, Medicare Advantage (MA) serves as a privately administered alternative to traditional Medicare. Under MA, the federal government pays private insurers a rate to provide Medicare Part A and Part B services, which are allowed to offer supplemental benefits not available under traditional Medicare like dental, vision, and wellness.

Thank you to everyone who participated for sharing all the ways Medicare Advantage has helped you and your families.

Now Accepting Service Academy Applications

As a Member of Congress, it is my honor to nominate up to ten candidates from the Seventh District for appointment to U.S. service academies. If you or someone you know is interested in attending one of America's military academies, please visit my website for more information. Applications must be submitted to my Willmar office and postmarked no later than October 3, 2025.

Congratulations to the Pierz Lakers!

Last weekend, the Pierz Lakers took home their first ever Class C Amateur Baseball Title, defeating the Le Sueur Braves 11-1. I am so glad to know the tradition of townball is alive and well in the Seventh District. Congratulations, Lakers!

Mobile Office Hours in Madison September 25

My staff will hold mobile office hours in Madison on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Madison City Hall.
