Pursuant to Local Law 39 of 2025 ([link removed]) , the Department of Social Services has made it easier to get an IDNYC, the city’s municipal identification card that’s open to all New Yorkers. Check out the improved online application portal here ([link removed]) . Walk-in appointments are also now welcome on a first-come, first-served basis on Tuesdays at the Brooklyn Public Library’s Central Branch (20 Grand Army Plaza)!
