For me, Labor Day weekend marks the beginning of bow season here in Colorado.

My dad taught me how to hunt with a rifle. When my fiancée and I started
dating, she taught me how to bow hunt, and I fell in love with it immediately.
Now, we always spend the Labor Day weekend hunting together.

In those quiet moments under the Aspen, I feel a deep reverence for the
natural beauty of our great state and am reminded just how important it is to
protect our public lands.

When Rep. Gabe Evans voted in favor of Trump’s Big Ugly Bill, he signed away
our public lands to be exploited for profitand cut funding to the National Park
Service and Bureau of Land Management, including clean energy projects.

Colorado is my home, and I refuse to let our leaders sell off our public lands
and gut environmental protections.

Our public lands are sacred. I’ll fight with everything I’ve got to keep them
