Ever since Donald Trump signed the Republican budget into law, I’ve been sounding the alarm everywhere I can — online, in the media, and across Oregon — to expose the very real pain Republicans voted to inflict upon the American people.

Here are the facts:

• An estimated 15 million Americans — including over 200,000 of my own Oregon constituents — will be kicked off their health care plans.
   
• Republicans slashed SNAP by 200 billion dollars, threatening access to food assistance for hundreds of thousands of Oregonians
   
• And the big list of cuts includes clean energy credits, making wind and solar energy more expensive in favor of fossil fuels — which ultimately raises your energy costs.

The bottom line is this: the Republican budget will only make Americans hungrier, more financially stretched, and less healthy.

Hardworking families should never be forced to decide whether they should pay the bills instead of buying food, or have to avoid medical care due to lack of coverage. If you agree, I’m asking for your support today.
