its football team will play Italy next week in order to qualify for the
World Cup.

Banning Israel from international sport is picking up steam, and if
national football federations speak out, they could force UEFA to hold a
vote.

As the Israeli government starves and bombs millions of people in Gaza,
its football team is gearing up to qualify for the World Cup!

But support for banning Israel among the soccer community is gathering
steam -- the Italian Football Coaches Association is demanding Israel be
kicked out of international football and the UEFA's president even said
Israel's participation is ‘a valid question.’

UEFA could ban Israel -- but only if key football federations like Italy,
Ireland, and Spain demand it.

Time is of the essence -- Israel will play Italy next week and more than
ever we must raise an outcry to force UEFA to act.

We know UEFA can suspend Israel -- just as it suspended Russia in 2022
just 4 days after the invasion of Ukraine. But so far international
football has treated Israel much like our governments have: with a
shameful double-standard. 

UEFA's president argues that it's not fair to punish athletes, and that
banning Israel from football won't change anything. The reality is that by
including and welcoming Israel on the international stage, we are
validating its war crimes and crimes against humanity. We are signaling
that governments may starve and bomb a people into obliteration without
any consequences. 

Israel has killed 808 athletes in Gaza, 421 of them were football players.
And it's targeting and killing journalists one by one in a chilling
attempt to stop us from witnessing the extent of its brutality. 

We can help protect people in Gaza and the West Bank, but it requires us
to not give up hope and pull every lever available to us. By mobilizing
the most popular sports community in the world, we can make a difference.
