As soon as Trump's former CDC Director revealed that RFK Jr. was pushing to fire her for refusing to put politics over public health and science, I was quick to call for his immediate firing that same night. This was a senior Trump official, nominated by the President, endorsed by RFK Jr. himself, and confirmed by the Senate Republican majority – I was hopeful this could be a real inflection point to force true accountability for RFK Jr.

I was glad to see many other Democrats join me in forcefully calling for RFK Jr. to be fired. Now, I'm asking you to join me in demanding RFK Jr. be FIRED from the Department of Health and Human Services' top command – but first, I want you to understand exactly how we got here:

FIRST: RFK Jr. fired scores of federal health workers, gutted vital public health programs, cancelled grants for lifesaving cures, replaced expert leaders with anti-science quacks, and championed legislation that will force millions to lose health insurance under Medicaid – and that barely scratches the surface.

THEN: The CDC director he appointed was forced out of her job for sounding the alarm about RFK Jr.'s personal mission to dismantle our public health infrastructure and put American lives at risk.

SO THIS WEEK: After witnessing RFK Jr. lie shamelessly to my Senate colleagues during a committee hearing, I reiterated my call from a week earlier demanding that RFK Jr. be fired. And it’s not just Democrats, there are 1,000 current and former HHS staff demanding his resignation – or, his immediate termination.

We cannot let RFK Jr. burn what’s left of our health agencies to the ground. The destruction he's already done will take decades to recover from – but the lives needlessly endangered by his dangerous policies are irreplaceable. Now is an important moment to keep pushing.

So until my GOP colleagues who now regret confirming him join me in calling for an end to RFK Jr.’s tenure, I've launched an emergency petition to push President Trump to tell him: 'You're FIRED.'

But if our pro-public health coalition can’t build a SWELL of grassroots support, our voices will be drowned out by the next new shocking distraction tactics to come out of the White House.

Friend, I need at least 20,000 signatures before midnight to prove there is overwhelming support for the immediate dismissal of RFK Jr. as health secretary, because lives are on the line – so will you please add your voice alongside mine right now?
