Major Study Links Abortion to Serious Health Problems
The left insists abortion is “health care,” but a massive new study proves otherwise.
Researchers in Quebec reviewed records from over 1.25 million women and found abortion is strongly tied to severe mental health consequences—including higher rates of psychiatric hospitalization, substance abuse, and even suicide attempts.
The numbers are staggering. Women who aborted had hospitalization rates of 104 per 10,000 per year—more than double the 42 per 10,000 seen in mothers. Suicide attempts spiked to 14.7 per 10,000, while substance abuse hospitalizations soared to nearly four times that of women who carried to term.
Perhaps most alarming, the heightened risks lasted for years. Only after nearly two decades did the mental health outcomes of women who aborted begin to resemble those of mothers.
For decades, abortion activists have sold the procedure as empowerment. This study shatters that myth—revealing the devastating emotional cost too often hidden from the debate.
