We just announced our slate of 44 candidates we’re supporting for the Virginia House of Delegates this year. These folks represent a firewall against anti-democracy extremists and partisan gerrymandering in a critical battleground state.

The stakes couldn’t be clearer. While Trump and his Republican allies pursue authoritarian policies across the country, these races will determine whether Virginia will have a pro-democracy legislature — and whether we can safeguard fundamental freedoms and democracy for all Virginians.

These 44 Democracy Defenders join our endorsed candidate for governor, Abigail Spanberger, a pro-democracy leader who’s built a career fighting for fundamental rights. 

Put simply: The results this November will reverberate in the 2026 midterm elections and beyond.
