ICYMI This Week: Rep. Meeks Presses for the Release of ALL the Epstein Files  

My colleagues and I signed a discharge petition to force consideration of the “Epstein Files Transparency Act.”  A discharge petition is one of the few tools members of Congress can use to bypass partisan obstruction and ensure legislation is brought to the floor for debate and a vote. By signing it, we are making clear that transparency and accountability must come before the political games. Americans have a right to know who was involved with Epstein and the full extent of his crimes and connections. 

I met with Amb. Kwatra to underscore Congress’ support for the US-India partnership, which has strengthened over the past 25 years, including through the quad. I reaffirmed our commitment to deeper ties, our shared hope for peace in Ukraine, and my alarm at Trump’s arbitrary tariffs that threaten the vital relationship. 

I’d like to hear from my constituents about how the Trump administration’s actions have affected you and your loved ones. Over the past few months, we’ve witnessed mass layoffs across government agencies, executive orders impacting various issues, threats against immigrants, potential tariffs on neighboring countries, and much more. 

 
My office is working with state and local officials to learn more about how these actions could affect our district and provide resources for people who have been affected.
