When I came back to Congress, I made a promise: I’ll work with anyone, of any party, who genuinely wants to solve problems. But I’ll never sacrifice our values.
That’s how I’ve approached every tough issue—whether it’s affordability, healthcare, immigration, or protecting Social Security. It’s how I’ve won in one of just 13 districts in the country that voted for both Donald Trump and a Democrat for Congress. Trump carried it by 19,000 votes.
But here’s the truth: this independence makes me a top target. Extremist groups don’t want someone willing to find common ground and stand up for what’s right. They want a rubber stamp.
We can’t let them win.
