THIS WEEK’S KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

ATTENTION PARENTS: America First Legal Launches “Parent and Student Action Center” to Equip and Empower Families with Resources to Defend Parental Rights and Protect Children in School

America First Legal has launched its Parent and Student Action Center to equip families with resources and legal tools to protect parental rights and ensure their children are not subjected to ideological indoctrination in schools. The Center includes updated Toolkits that help parents navigate key federal laws like Title VI, Title IX, FERPA, PPRA, and the Freedom of Information Act, offering guidance and template letters to assert their rights. Many schools and teachers' unions are pushing political agendas at odds with family values, and parents must stay vigilant.

America First Legal Takes Action to Support the Trump Department of Education’s Fight Against Fairfax County School Board’s Lawless Bathroom Policies

America First Legal has filed a key legal brief opposing the Fairfax County School Board’s attempt to defend its bathroom policies, which the U.S. Department of Education found to violate Title IX. AFL argues that Fairfax’s interpretation of federal law, particularly its reliance on the Grimm v. Gloucester decision, is flawed and does not justify allowing students to use bathrooms based solely on self-declared gender identity without documentation or parental involvement. The brief contends that the Grimm ruling applied only to specific, well-documented cases of transgender identity, unlike Fairfax’s broad policy. AFL is also litigating a related case, Doe v. Fairfax County School Board, involving a female student required to use a private restroom due to the school's policy, with trial set for September 29, 2025.

America First Legal Renews Fight to Expose Alvin Bragg’s Politically Motivated Prosecution of President Trump

AFL has filed a new petition in the New York Supreme Court against Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and his office for allegedly withholding records requested under New York’s Freedom of Information Law (FOIL). AFL seeks documents related to the prosecution of Donald Trump, including communications with political entities, fundraising information, and internal calendars, which are being withheld under vague and unjustified exemptions. After over a year of delays, boilerplate denials, and unresponsive document releases, AFL is renewing its legal effort to compel compliance.

America First Legal President Gene Hamilton Speaks on Immigration in the National Interest at the National Conservatism Conference

On Thursday, Gene Hamilton, President of America First Legal, spoke at The National Conservatism Conference (NatCon) during Plenary Session IV. His speech, titled “Immigration in the National Interest,” focused on immigration policy from a nationalist conservative perspective. NatCon gathers public figures, journalists, scholars, and students who believe conservatism is deeply connected to national independence and the revival of unique national traditions.

AMERICA FIRST LEGAL IN THE NEWS:

The Washington Times: The transgender coverup

““It’s entirely possible those crises were at least in part accelerated by chemical cocktails. As a Food and Drug Administration scientist wrote in an internal 2022 email: “We did find increased risk of depression and suicidality” among children using puberty blockers.

Yet these ideologically driven researchers didn’t care about the enhanced potential for violence among those using these substances. “There is definitely a need for these drugs to be approved for gender transition, as they are typically not covered by insurance and are expensive out of pocket,” the FDA researcher said.

America First Legal obtained those government communications last month after it filed a lawsuit seeking clarity on how such drugs were approved on President Biden’s watch. Having this information is critical for the public to evaluate what should be done to address societal problems that result in disturbed people lashing out against the innocent.”

Fox News: Legal group unveils toolkits for parents to fight discrimination, union-driven agendas in schools

“America First Legal announced Tuesday it has launched a Parent and Student Action Center to help defend parental rights and protect students in schools.
"Parents have a fundamental obligation to raise the next generation and to instill values that will not just preserve and sustain our values, but that will facilitate unprecedented greatness for generations to come," Gene Hamilton, president of America First Legal, said in a statement. "No failing school bureaucracy should ever stand in the way of greatness, and these resources that the team at America First Legal have put together have the potential to change outcomes in demonstrably beneficial ways."

The Parent and Student Action Center is described as "a one-stop hub designed to give parents and students practical resources to push back against woke curricula, union-driven agendas and unlawful discrimination in schools," according to an email from the organization obtained by Fox News Digital.”

Townhall: A Test of Citizenship for Voter Registration<>

“The question of who should be allowed to register and vote in American elections ought to be one of the simplest in our republic. Only U.S. citizens are eligible. Yet under current federal regulations, and in practice across much of the country, the system relies largely on nothing more than an honor code – applicants check a box on the National Mail Voter Registration Form affirming citizenship. No documents are required. This is a glaring vulnerability in an era of large-scale immigration, border enforcement that can swing wildly between tough and virtually nonexistent, and waning public confidence in election integrity.

That’s why America First Legal (AFL) has petitioned the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) to amend its regulations and the federal form to require proof of citizenship before any applicant is added to the voter rolls. The request is modest, lawful, and necessary to shore up faith in elections. The EAC should grant it.”
