Dear John,

Thank you for signing up to receive my email newsletter. My hope is to keep you updated and informed on how issues in Washington may impact our state. I welcome your feedback.

My First Bill Signed Into Law

Image

I joined President Trump at the White House for the signing of my first bill as a United States Senator: The Maintaining American Superiority by Improving Export Control Transparency Act. I was proud to team up with my former House colleague Ronny Jackson in getting this important bipartisan legislation across the finish line.

For too long, countries like China have exploited loopholes to steal American innovation and turn it against us. This bipartisan law is an important first step to hold China accountable and ensure that our cutting-edge technology is never used by our adversaries to undermine our national security.

My bill also makes sure that Congress has the transparency and resources needed to guarantee that America’s export control system is doing its job – keeping sensitive U.S. defense technologies out of the hands of our adversaries.

When I asked Hoosiers for their vote not even a year ago, I promised them I would fight to make America stronger and safer. The most important part of my job will always be serving the people of Indiana first, and that includes fighting to hold China accountable.
Thank you, President Trump, for signing this bill into law and helping keep America and Indiana strong and safe.

Make D.C. Safe And Great Again!

Image

This week, I introduced the DC Criminal Reforms to Immediately Make Everyone Safe (CRIMES) Act.

My bill backs President Trump’s mission to restore law and order in our nation’s capital by cracking down on violent crime and enforcing real consequences. Make Washington, D.C. safe and great again! Click here to learn more.

Empower Parents to Protect Their Kids Act

Image

I was proud to join Senator Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) in reintroducing the Empower Parents to Protect Their Kids Act.

This bill prohibits K–12 schools from concealing or supporting a student’s adoption of an identity that does not align with their biological sex. The bill also grants parents the right to sue school districts that violate this Act by withholding information about their child.

Parents should never be kept in the dark about their own kids. This bill makes sure schools can’t push radical gender ideology behind parents’ backs and puts families back in charge where they belong. Click here to learn more.

Question Of The Week

This week, I introduced the DC CRIMES Bill which supports President Trump's effort to restore law and order in our nation's capital. Do you also support policies that are tough on crime?
