New Texas Laws Have Taken Effect! |
Laws that were passed in the Regular legislative Session went into effect on September 1. You can read a blog about these laws on our website. The blog provides a brief description of each bill passed in the Texas legislature that supports faith, family, and freedom in the state of Texas.
“The 2025 Texas Legislature focused on restoring values in Texas by returning the Ten Commandments to classrooms, restoring parental rights, and restoring confidence in common sense truths like stating in law a clear and accurate definition of male and female. These new Texas laws are what Texas voters asked for, and many of them received bipartisan support because these new laws create real solutions, to real problems.” Jonathan Saenz, President and Attorney for Texas Values Read about the new laws taking effect in public schools, as well as the new laws impacting faith, family, and freedom, on our webpage. |

Ally First Liberty Institute sent a letter to over 1,200 Texas school districts affirming that, outside of 11 districts named in a lawsuit, school districts may continue displaying the Ten Commandments under SB 10.
"Displaying the Ten Commandments—a symbol of law and moral conduct with both religious and secular significance—is a longstanding national tradition as a matter of law." - Kelly Shackelford President & CEO of First Liberty Institute
Texas Values helped lead the passage of the Texas Ten Commandments Law (SB 10) this legislative session, which by law, allows the Ten Commandments to be displayed in public school classrooms across Texas. The Texas Ten Commandments Bill (SB 10) went into effect on September 1!
It’s up to the people of Texas to help implement this new law—and you can play a vital role. For the Ten Commandments to be displayed, the poster or framed copy must be donated to the school(s).
Visit our website tencommandmentstexas.com and select the school(s) in your area, purchase posters by following a simple step-by-step guide to donate them to your local school and district. You can also volunteer to deliver posters to schools.
Texas Values was mentioned in a recent Yahoo News article regarding the Ten Commandments Bill (SB 10) in which every public-school classroom will be required to display a Ten Commandments poster or framed copy and each school district must accept conforming posters or framed copies that are privately donated.

Jonathan Saenz, President and Attorney for Texas Values, and Special Guest Senator Angela Paxton, discuss SB 13, the new law that keeps pornographic books out of school libraries! |
"I had parents start coming to me and saying, 'Have you seen this stuff in our school libraries?' They had pornography in the school libraries! It will rewire the brain and you can become addicted. Surely, it should not be allowed in our school libraires.
We're counting on parents to make this work. It creates Parent Advisory Councils for the school districts." ~ Sen. Angela Paxton

James Clayton Dobson, Jr. (April 21, 1936 – August 21, 2025) |
“I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my friend Dr. James Dobson. Dr. Dobson has been an absolute giant as an author, a teacher, and an advocate for the family and marriage; and for values-based law and policy in American public life. His impact and influence can be clearly seen now in so many current important leaders in faith and politics; and his impact and influence will be lived out in so many more leaders for decades to come. He has impacted me personally and professionally; and I would not be who I am and where I am without his presence. God Bless Dr. Dobson for living out his Christian faith in such an extraordinary way. He will be deeply missed.” - Jonathan Saenz, President of the Family Policy Council for the State of Texas – Texas Values
