I have a critical update in this race: Sabato’s Crystal Ball just changed our race rating from Likely Democratic to Lean Democratic.

I’m running for governor because Maine’s future is worth the fight. Our state deserves leadership that will bring us together and deliver real results, and I have a proven record of taking on tough fights and winning. I’ve served at every level from the school board to Speaker of the Maine House so I know I have what it takes to win.

But this ratings change just confirmed what we already knew — we cannot take Maine for granted for a second.

We’ve seen what can happen to our state under a Republican governor — we had one less than ten years ago.

And we’ve seen what happens when Maine has a strong advocate in a Democratic Governor like Janet Mills.

Now, in the face of the Trump administration’s daily attacks on democracy, it’s critical that we keep this office blue with a nominee with a history of standing up when it is needed and working to get stuff done for Maine.

I’ll be a strong first line of defense against Trump’s attacks from Washington, but I need your help to have the resources to keep this seat blue.
