Donald Trump
is illegally seeking to use the military to police our people and our
cities.
It’s unnecessary, undemocratic, and most importantly, unlawful. [ [link removed] ]Sign my
petition against Trump’s unlawful National Guard deployments.
When troops arrived in California in early June, we knew it was unlikely
to be the last of Trump’s military occupation of American cities. We were
right: now, there are thousands of National Guard servicemembers
patrolling the streets of Washington, D.C. for civilian law enforcement.
As a federal judge just affirmed in our lawsuit against Trump for the
unlawful deployment of federalized National Guard troops for civilian law
enforcement in California — the military cannot act as the President’s
personal police force.
Now Brian Schwab — the Attorney General of Washington, D.C. — is suing
Trump, too, and I’m proud to stand with him and D.C. in this fight.
The military cannot be used for civilian law enforcement on American soil.
Period, full stop.
Bottom line: this dangerous moment requires all of us to stand up, speak
out, and hold the President accountable to the law, the Constitution, and
the democratic values he swore to uphold.
Join me in speaking out and standing with the people of D.C. [ [link removed] ]Add your
name to my petition today to condemn Trump’s illegal deployment of the
National Guard for civilian law enforcement and his military occupation of
our cities.

I will never stop fighting against a President hell-bent on co-opting the
U.S. military for his own personal stunts — and violating the law and
trampling on our rights in the process.
