August was a lot, John.

We saw the GOP begin laying the groundwork to try and rig the 2026 elections for themselves. We watched Donald Trump openly call for eliminating vote by mail. And we heard Robert F. Kennedy Jr. spread baseless conspiracy theories about vaccines.

It’s easy to feel weighed down by all of this. But a great source of peace — and what keeps me moving forward — is knowing that people like you are standing with me. You understand how high the stakes are, and you’re just as committed to protecting our democracy as I am. I continue to be thankful for you.

When Democrats ask for your support, it’s because we know how vital it is to take back the House and Senate and restore real accountability. This fight isn’t just about me — it’s about Democrats up and down the ballot who need the strength of this movement behind them.
