John, it's Austin — I'm reaching out with a personal update today. My daughter turned two yesterday!

She changed my world when she arrived and has brought such immense joy into my wife and I's lives. I can't wait to see what life has in store for her, and every day I fight with everything I have to create the country I want her to inherit.

As her dad and the Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania, I'm in the unique position to be able to push our state toward policy that will do right by her and her generation, and I take that role seriously.

By going after funding for programs like SNAP and Medicaid, or subsidized childcare, Republicans are forcing families into a cycle of living paycheck to paycheck.

As a leader, and especially as a father, I can't understand taking resources away from families trying to do better by their kids.

I need you to know you can count on me to stand up for families, no matter their income, and make sure everyone has a fair shot at a better future. I'm in this for my daughter, for my family, and for yours, because our future is dependent on each other.
