** INTRODUCING ASBN’S NEW MEMBER LOGO
------------------------------------------------------------

We’re excited to unveil ASBN’s new member logo! It’s designed to reflect the strength, tenacity, and playfulness of our Network as it spreads like dandelion seeds, taking root across the U.S. The updated design tells a richer story of impact, with a modern typeface, fresh colors, and improved legibility for digital use.

This logo isn’t just a symbol. It’s a badge of our collective voice and role in advancing a just and regenerative economy. Members, state and industry affiliate members, board members, and partners are all welcome to use their versions in alignment with ASBN’s mission. And that’s not all. We also created a Voice of Business version for all those who take action with us in 2025!

It’s Time to Lead the Change: Business as a Force for Democracy

Next month, ASBN is calling on business leaders to step into a pivotal role: strengthening democracy itself. In a moment of rising social, political, and environmental urgency, this isn’t just a conference. It’s a bipartisan rallying point for businesses determined to protect our democratic values and ensure our economy truly works for people, planet, and purpose.

At the Business, Policy & Purpose conference ([link removed]) , we’ll confront the hard questions: How can business defend democratic values, advance equity, and drive solutions for people and planet? What bold actions can we take together to rewrite the rules and build the future we need?

TELL YOUR STORY ([link removed])

The Economic Impact of Immigration

Undocumented immigrants are key to the U.S. economy - paying nearly $97 billion in taxes in 2022 and spending $300 billion in 2023. They make up 5% of the workforce in vital industries like agriculture, childcare and hospitality.

A recent study in California found that increased immigration enforcement in 2025 resulted in a 3.1% decline in private sector jobs, affecting both citizens and immigrants, and mirroring downturns seen during major crises. But the impact of immigration policies isn’t about numbers - it’s about people. Major news outlets have reached out to ASBN for businesses, especially those that rely on childcare, day laborers, and farm workers, and for the voices of the workers themselves, for anonymous stories, particularly from those affected by ICE raids.

These findings underscore the impact of immigration policies on both workers and the economy.

New Jersey Sustainable Business Network

The New Jersey Sustainable Business Network was invited to attend NJ Governor Phil Murphy’s bill-signing ceremony. The invitation was recognition of the robust policy work NJSBN does both inside and outside of the State House on behalf of small- and mid-sized businesses. S4530/A5768 expands NJ’s community solar program by an additional 3,000 megawatts (MW), and A5267/S4289 establishes a new incentive program to reach one of the most ambitious storage targets in the nation: 2,000 MW of transmission-scale energy storage by 2030. The signing of this landmark legislation increases access to clean and reliable sources of energy while lowering energy costs.
