Last week, I was proud to welcome Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries to southern Nevada to tour Switch’s brand new, cutting-edge AI factory.

This facility is more than just a symbol of innovation — it’s bringing 400 new, good-paying union jobs to our community, diversifying our economy, and cementing Nevada’s place at the forefront of American AI leadership.

We spoke with union leaders, workers, and executives about how this new industry will help stabilize our energy grid, strengthen our national security, and ensure that Nevada families can thrive in the 21st-century economy.

But let’s be clear: none of this progress is guaranteed. Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress are already threatening to roll back investments in renewable energy and undermine Nevada’s growing innovation economy. If they take back this seat, they’ll stop us from building the future we need.
