John, I couldn’t be more excited to share this news with you: Today, I’m proud to announce my campaign for re-election for Attorney General.
I know I’ve got what it takes to give this campaign everything it needs to win. Why? Because I'm a mom, a former newspaper reporter, and one of the most popular elected officials in Arizona. And there's a simple reason for that: I sue the sh*t out of Trump and anyone else who tries to hurt Arizona families.
Let me tell you how I got here. I used to be a Republican, thinking I was part of a party aligned with my values. But when I saw kids in cages at our border, when I watched Trump tear families apart, I knew I had to switch parties. And when January 6th happened, I knew I had to do something bigger.
So I left my job as a law professor at ASU, took a 50% pay cut, and ran for Attorney General in the toughest race of my life. We won by just 280 votes out of 2.5 million cast. Every single vote mattered.
And from day one, I've been fighting for a more just and more affordable Arizona.
Here's what I've been doing as your Attorney General:
- I've filed 25 lawsuits against Trump and Musk, winning temporary restraining orders immediately in many of them.
- I'm Arizona's biggest water champion, suing the Saudis who are draining our aquifers to grow alfalfa they ship overseas.
- I'm taking on corporate landlords who collude to jack up rents.
- I work with local sheriffs and police chiefs to seize fentanyl from Mexico, and prosecute the cartels responsible for them.
- I successfully helped defeat the proposed Kroger-Albertsons merger that would have raised grocery prices.
- I go after elder abuse and utility companies that gouge customers.
- I'm fighting fraudsters and anyone trying to take advantage of everyday Arizonans.
- And I hold more press conferences and town halls than any other elected official in Arizona, because transparency matters.
But here's the thing: at least one of my GOP opponents can write seven-figure checks to fund his campaign. Well, I certainly can’t do that.
If you want an Attorney General who throws punches for working families, I need your support. Can you make a donation today to help me keep fighting for Arizona?
We won together the first time. I know we can do it again if we stick together.
Thanks for having my back, Kris
