Fellow Kansan,

 

On Tuesday I called on Kansas State University to remove a so-called Civil Rights Administrator, a far-left extremist who has a long history of pro-terrorism, antisemitic, racist, and Marxist rants.

 

Today, I want you to know this: **K-State listened.** After our call to action, and after so many of you picked up the phone and demanded accountability, the University suspended this individual and opened an investigation.

 

I’ve been in touch with good people in the K-State administration directly. They are taking this seriously and want to make sure this never happens again. That’s a victory for Kansas students and families — and it’s proof that when we stand together, we make a difference.

 

State Senator Doug Shane, DVM, PhD, a proud K-State graduate, said it best: *“Gov. Colyer showed real leadership and stopped this immediately when no other state leader would. That’s what strong leaders do.”*

 

I’m grateful to Senator Shane for his support and I’m especially grateful to all of you. The calls, the emails, the pressure — it worked! Kansas students deserve better, and thanks to you, they’re getting it.

 

But this is not the end. Across Kansas and the country, Jewish and pro-Israel students are raising alarms about bias and antisemitism on campus. We cannot allow leftist extremists with pro-terrorist sympathies to ever hold positions of authority over civil rights again.

 

I’ll keep pushing. I’ll keep standing up. And I’ll need you right there with me.
