Donald Trump and his administration are making it loud and clear — they don’t care about the health and safety of families in North Carolina.

Recently, the Supreme Court ruled to allow Donald Trump’s cut of nearly $800 million in grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

These massive cuts will halt crucial research on serious illnesses like breast cancer, Alzheimer’s, HIV, mental illness, and so much more.

It’s an incredibly reckless decision that puts all lives at risk, but especially those of underserved communities who are disproportionately affected by health disparities.

And let's be clear, we could see more cuts to critical health research down the line. Donald Trump has withheld funds from agencies without Congress's approval before, and he’ll do it again if he can get away with it.

This is why we must stay on track to flip the House blue in 2026 so we can hold this administration accountable and fully restore NIH funding.
