Phase 2 of our chapter's endorsement process has begun, and will run until Mid-November. In Phase 2 we will consider endorsements for State Legislature, Federal legislature, City Attorney, and any other races. For more information about our endorsement process, see our FAQ page.
This Phase will be the last set of endorsement considerations through the June 2026 primary election. If you would like to initiate a petition for endorsement, you can do so here. The date for the chapter forum and vote will be released shortly, and will happen in November. For questions about the endorsement process, feel free to reach out to electoralpolitics@dsa-la.org.

This working group will be focused on organizing actions, educational events, phonebanks, and more in solidarity with the struggle for Palestinian liberation.

Labor for an Arms Embargo

Union members and our communities are coming together to support an arms embargo to end Israel's war crimes in Gaza
An arms embargo would help Gaza's workers by pressuring Israel to end the conflict, and would help American workers by ending our government's wasteful spending on aid for Israel. Seven national unions including UAW, NEA, IUPAT, and NNU have called for a halt to military aid to Israel.
Join union members 11am Saturday, September 6th to demand an end to weapons transfers to Israel and a free Palestine.

Mutual Aid Breaklight Repair w/ Repair Cafe

Broken tail lights are one of the most common reasons to be pulled over and ticketed. The DSA-LA Mutual Aid committee is proud to offer free brakelight replacements on Saturday, 9/6.
We'll be working alongside the Compton Makers Hub at their Repair Cafe. If you have broken appliances, clothes, jewelry, or miscellaneous items in need of repair, we'll try to fix them for free!
Please try to arrive no later than 2:30 pm for either event.

DSA/NDLON Adopt a Home Depot Volunteer Training

DSA-LA has teamed up with the National Day Laborers Organizing Network (NDLON) to adopt day laborer and street vendor locations to be on the lookout for ICE attacks. We need volunteers to be at these locations to call in to the Rapid Response Network and film when ICE arrives.
We have adopted five Home Depot locations across the city and have been patrolling for the last couple months. Come volunteer to help us stop ICE and protect our communities.
This training is to go over what you need to do in order to volunteer. We’ll cover the rapid response network, logistics, roles, safety, and best practices.
