I’ve noticed a concerning trend recently among Republicans running for Wisconsin governor and candidates across the state. In a clear ploy to earn favor from our president, GOP candidates are fashioning themselves as close allies of his.
Well, that allyship means:
- Supporting a disastrous economic plan that will hurt working-class families most
- Backing a complete gutting of our vital public health institutions, weakening our ability to prevent and combat infectious disease
- Standing by a president who has upended our fight against climate change
- And shamelessly supporting anti-democratic views
